Memorial website in the memory of your loved one

This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Jaden Marquee  Lothridge who  was born 11 weeks and 2 days early on November 3, 2004 at 6:19PM, twin to Cadence Maree. Jaden weighed 2lbs, 5.7 oz and was 14 in. long, he was very sick at birth from complications during the pregnancy, and the Doctors said he would not live. He wasn't breathing at birth, so he was intubated and rushed to the NICU. Unlike most preemies, Jaden was born with BPD(Bronchopulmonary Displaysia),  He also had Pulmonary Hypoplasia (stiff lungs), his lungs eventually collapsed. Jaden was on an oscillating ventialtor to keep his lungs inflated. He had his first surgery when he was 1 week old to close his PDA ( hole in the heart). He did well with the surgery, then at 2 weeks old, he was diagnosed with MRSA (Methylcillin Resistant Stapholococcus Aureus). He had to be put in isolation because it is very contagious. He remained on the ventilator for five and a half weeks. I finally got to hold him for the very first time right before he came off the ventilator. His sister came home the day after I held him. Jaden was in the NICU for a total of 9 weeks and 5 days. He came home weighing 6 lbs 1oz, and he was on oxygen, and an apnea monitor. He was home for two weeks before he made his first trip back to the hospital, he had pneumonia from aspiration and I found out in a way that was totally unexpected, we were at the eye clinic to have his eyes checked (ROP) and he stopped breathing, I had to do CPR on my tiny 6lb little boy. I was terrified! Finally a nurse came in and got him breathing.  Jaden made many trips back to the hospital for respiratory distress, and a couple for VP Shunt surgery to drain the spinal fluid off of his brain.
When Jaden was 9
months old he was admitted to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville, TN for a cardiac work up, when he was diagnosed with severe Pulmonary Hypertension, The Dr said he was very sick and really lucky to be alive, She feared that he would not make it out of that hospital. They started him on Vasodialators to help open the pulmonary blood vessels to relieve some of the stress on his heart. He was there for a total of 7 weeks and he was on the ventilator for 19 days. He got to meet Rascal Flatts while he was there. He came home and did well for about 2 weeks and was readmitted to our local hospital for Respiratory Distress, and he was in and out for about a month, then he got out and was at home for his 1st Birthday and Christmas, and our family was together and happy for the holidays. We bought our house on Jan. 10,2006 and It was so nice, Jaden loved it he was doing so well and starting to come down on his oxygen requirements, then all of a sudden he woke up with a high fever (Jan. 15th) and needed more oxygen so I had to rush him to the ER and he continued to get worse. On Jan. 23 they put Jaden on CPAP to help with his breathing, but it only helped for a little while, I had been begging them to put him on it for about 3 days before they finally did, I actually wanted him on the ventilator, but they said he might not come off of it. On the 24th they had to put him on the vent. because he was really bad off. The conventional vent wasn't helping so they tried the oscillator and it didn't help either so they went back to conventional. My little boy was suffering. He hung on for 24 hours but if he would have made it he would have severe brain damage from the lack of oxygen for such a long time. My son's doctor refused to give up, even in the end, he is an amazing man and he did everything in his power to keep my baby alive, but he couldn't, I held Jaden's hand as his heart rate slowed down, and I cried and told him it was ok to let go, that he had fought so hard and he gave me a wonderful 14 and a half months. He turned 15 months old, 8 days after he died. My son Jaden Marquee Lothridge lost his battle with Pulmonary Hypertension and other diseases brought on by prematurity on January 25, 2006 at 5:40AM. Jaden is Loved and missed by many. Thank you all for reading my son's life story, please visit this site for a little inspration    http://www.ispokewithmychild.com
As of November 2, 2006 Jaden has received his baby brother, Leland Kane, into the kingdom of heaven. Leland was born at 17 weeks gestation, he was perfectly formed just way too tiny to survive, he weighed approximately 5oz, and fit perfectly in the palm of my hand. I now have two beautiful little angel sons to watch over my family, I love and miss them both dearly. Words can't express the heartache that has taken over our whole family, which isn't very big.
I thank everyone who takes time to read and post, on this site, it is very special to me.
May God Bless You all.
I just want to add a couple of poems I wrote for Jaden and Leland.

My Special Gift

You came in a hurry,
Way too soon.
My special gift.

Your life was short,
But you taught me so much.
It isn’t fair,
I had to let you go.
You were my special gift from God.

I miss you everyday
Not a minute goes by,
That I don’t think of you.
My special gift.

God Needed You More

I wanted you so bad,
God needed you more.

I tried everything
To keep you here,
God needed you more.

I cried and almost died,
The day you came,
God needed YOU more.

It breaks my heart
I can no longer hold you
God needed you more.

We will meet again, someday,
But right now, God needs you more.

I will continue to love you,
I will grieve your loss,
I will always TRY to remember…
God needed you more.

His legacy
What our Little Monkey Taught Us.....
Jaden was always smiling, even when he was sick and having trouble breathing. Jaden taught our family to live life to its fullest and never give up, even when you are so sick you can't hold your head up. He also made us realize that we "used" to take life for granted.... One thing that I am asking of everyone who reads this is please don't ever "Know" tomorrow is coming, because today might be our last. So many people put off visiting Jaden because they thought he would be here when they got ready to come, boy were they wrong! I love and miss my son "Mommy's Little Monkey" so very much. I think about him constantly.
